‘I can turn around Met Police in two years’, claims chief Sir Mark Rowley

  1. I know a guy that works in the met, he says that racism, homophobia and misogyny are everywhere, a totally toxic environment.

  2. With more than 43,000 officers and staff, the Met is the UK’s largest police service. It currently has 25% of the total police budget for England and Wales. We take a lot of care in structuring the organisation to make full use of many different disciplines and skills of our people.

It’s just to big for one man to run. Needs breaking up into maybe 3 or 4 forces. There are 47 other forces to cover the rest of the country. Starmer was almost right, it needs renaming, after it is broken up.

  3. That’s not going to happen. There’s a deep routed problem with a lack of accountability and a desire to protect ones own. It can be changed, but that change is going to be an ongoing process and will take years if not generations.

  4. *Using my crystal ball.*

Mark Rowley in two years, I resign because of scandal x, y and z and the reform of the metropolitan police remains a work in progress.
