Typical of this government. Instead of actually trying to resolve the situation, they just give a one off handout hoping the problem will disappear.
Shit it hasn’t been yet? I’ve been here running the heater all morning.
Handy one for the electricity suppliers, you really think Paschal would let them just give money away for nothing?
Totally pointless exercise and not sure why the Greens are allowing this to happen
170m wasted which could have been used to actually fix the long term problem or help fix it
100€ is nothing when you have two people working at home full time. But doesn’t matter here as her company pay 75% of each bill and mine do the same so we actually make money from it. And before you lot shite on about it we’ve told both companies and they don’t care and there are no tax implications.
Doesn’t seem to be thought through regarding renters and meters if they’re giving money to the companies to take off bills.
But anyhoo,no doubt the complaints will flow.
How about building more renewable energy with that money instead
First, they raise co2 levies
People can’t afford
Gov pay back that levy
Zero sum game
