Łódź really is everywhere. I was in an Austrian bar in the mountains today and they had several stickers and scarfs of Widzew Łódź and Łódź in general.
Łódź wanted to have łódź in their emblem as this is half a success to have a river for them.
So that way Lodzian people wanted to put a spell on the fact that they had no access to any river, lake or sea.
They are still waiting but are close to being successful. With rising level of oceans and sea they might have access to big water quite soon.
