  1. Now wait for journalists to find pictures of 100 other times he’s thought the law doesn’t apply to him.

Whereas if I got caught without a seatbelt….

  2. Is that a valid defence now?

Lawyer: “Your honour our client had a brief error of judgment”

Judge: “Ah the Sunak defence. Off you go! Next case!”

  3. This sums up how the country feels to me now, like we are stuck in a car going to an unknown destination and none of us are wearing seatbelts.

  4. As a fellow short person, I can sympathise a bit as it’s annoying when the seatbelt digs into your neck. Still I among many others can endure, so can he.

  5. at this point, it would probably be easier to say he has ‘brief periods of lucidity’, since the errors of judgement seem to come thick and fast – just like the tories.

  6. While the PM should never be above the law, in this case I applaud his actions, and I’d encourage him to continue to keep the seatbelt off.

He should also show leadership, determination and courage by not looking when he crosses the street.

  7. Brief error of judgement on a law that even children are well versed in? Absurd that this is the best we had to “lead” this country.

  8. ***’brief error of judgement’*** Not a reasonable excuse. He needs to follow the law, just like we all do. If we don’t & get caught we get prosecuted. He is not above the law, granted he thinks he is. Get him prosecuted, has to be, no excuses. This not an error of judgement, it’s a criminal offence. ***’It is an offence for an individual not to wear a seatbelt if one is available to wear’.*** The police must take action here otherwise it’s a blatant piss take…

  9. More hypocrisy from the powers that be.

You must where a seatbelt or else we’ll fine you. Rules do not apply to the elite.

You must not have get togethers and parties during lockdown. Rules don’t apply to the elite…

  10. Guys, leave off him. He’s probably so used to the lap belt in his private plane, he completely forgot shoulder ones exist.

  11. Can’t wait until he’s forced to pay a stupid £500 fine (assuming he even gets charged the full amount). I’m sure that will really keep him up at night.

  12. Damn it’s so weird how these brief errors of judgement always line up with the same time they’re being recorded! What a coincidence!

  13. This is the breaking news today in the UK

PM didn’t wear a seatbelt in the backseat.

Imagine this shit. Literally this is the news

  14. If the driver had slammed the breaks on and let him smash his smug face he would become a national hero.

  15. “A brief error of judgement” is fine.

When lots of errors of judgement merge to form an almighty calamity, one has to begin questioning the fitness of the government.

I wouldn’t trust most members of the current government to sit the right way around on the toilet seat without assistance from a responsible adult.

  16. “How to sit in a car” can be added to the list of ordinary, everyday things that our multimillionaire PM doesn’t know how to do then.

  17. Seatbelt? Sounds like another distraction What about him dismantling the NHS and refusing to tax billionaires and corporations. YOU have probably more tax than a billionaire last year.

  18. Holy shit, I can’t believe he wasnt wearing a seatbelt, probably the most outrageous/controversial thing I’ve ever seen PM do.

I’m going to write a very stern letter to the police, this can’t go unpunished.

  19. “Brief error of judgement” – fuck right off, putting on a seatbelt is habit. He’ll only now admit it’s a problem because he was caught.

  20. People actually get upset about something so silly that everyone does or has done

I don’t give a fuck about his seat belt. His party is literally raping this country

If you needed heart surgery and the surgeon pulled up to hospital without a seatbelt, would you turn him away? Seriously who gives a fuck. This heart surgeon has turned up to hospital with no seatbelt and he’s got your new heart in a used sandwich bag, but your all crying about the seatbelt

  21. He probably won’t pay the fine, but here’s an idea maybe the UK should start giving fines proportional to wealth
