Could also be phrased too many people making false claims backing up the PIAB. It’s a money making racket. €45 to file a claim €1095 if a claim is filled against you plus the cost of defending. Guilty till proven innocent. No evidence of injury required. And if you are found guilty of Perjury, it isn’t technically a court so no Perjury laws apply and no recourse to the accused.
PIAB is in desperate need of reform. It should be done remotely to ascertain first if an injury actually happened. And if you go to a lawyer about your medical condition before a doctor then disallowed. Also if the case is brought by one of the frequent flyers, it should be given lower priority.
For example this is a REAL testimonial, on a real solicitors website. I swear it’s not a Parody! If you watch to the end the lady says she didn’t think she had a case but they convinced her she did, then she got a settlement and she was so happy she’s currently in the process of giving them more business and making more claims.
I had a case for listing back in October. I’m up on a minor charge. District court was closed and a letter saying anybody with cases to come back on a listed date in February…
