Swiss people can protect the vatican but not go to Ukraine and fight for them? This is bs.
In the heart of the holy see
Guarding one of the largest criminal enterprises in the world… A thing to be really proud of lol.
Protect people who commit awful crimes
I wonder why is there a height requirement.
« To meet the rising demand, » excuse me, what are you planning pope?
What’s in it for Switzerland? Coin? Relationships?
And for the Vatican? Seems to me that after the last 20 years of conflict, any american security contractor should be more fit for the job that any 19yo Valais kid.
People taking pride in this are… really, really not my kind. I fail at grasping their mindsets.
Is it true that you can not apply rather you are selected? How long is the serving time?
I’ve always wondered this: if one country’s army (in an hypothetical scenario) attacks the Pope, what would they do? I mean do they have other weapons other than that halbard?
They are ofically a police force not an army
Ah, yes. My kind of humor – a bunch of rednecks fiercely and faithfully protecting a bunch of pedos. 👍

The only bit that hits me wrong is that the halberd is a multi-purpose tool and sort of precursor to a Swiss army knife.
Nah man it’s just two-weapons in one which is where the similarities with a Swiss army knife stop. It’s just for non-Swiss people to look at it and go “oh look how Swiss they are”. Makes me irrationally irritated.
