Edgy take, from a distance it looks like mince – sure experiments like that are what got El Bulli started
Can I have some?
I don’t see the layer of beef?
That dish is far too shallow for trifle.
“What’s not to like? Custard? Good! Jam? Good! Meat? Good!”
Thought it was mince.

Well I think it looks lovely fair play to ya, have an upvote happy Friday
Looks lovely.
Hey well done, the best part about it is that you are happy with the result.
I wish I could get a spoon or two from it. Looks lovely. Great idea for the topping – I usually use flake!
Looks the business, OP.
Edit : does anyone else remember the posts of the lad who went out to do the shopping, went to the pub instead and came home with a rake of trifles?

I’ve just started another rewatch of the wire, surly it’s a sign
Rice? Get out
I think that’s a funny way to spell “square”.
Looks pretty good to me! Take my upvote and have a great weekend 👍
Trifle is food of the devil.
I hope that’s a layer of colmans mustard I see
Needs some custard.
Has it got sponge fingers in it, and Birds Custard?
I’d suck the custard through your auld fellas hands.
Bit of a texture clash no? Trifles are supposed to be very soft. You’d be gnashing down on it because of the rice crispy squares and wouldn’t really get to experience the texture of the trifle.
Chocolate Rice Krispie bar is an interesting choice, always grew up with a crumbled Flake bar scattered on top.
I rate it used to crush up flake on top of mine
First though is that you missed the trick of having a 700mm deep countertop. Everyone accepts 600 as that is the standard but 700 is so much better, plenty of room for a toaster, kettle, mixer etc. And still be able to work comfortably.
That looks lush! Question tho: Were the Rice Krispie cakes store bought or homemade?
