ECHR to look at allegations of interference in Brexit referendum

  1. And when they find the evidence of interference then what?

They’re not going to turn around and say the whole thing was invalid so we better cancel it.

The damage has already been done and the country divided because of it. Those who were duped by the lies won’t suddenly change their mind and want back in to Europe.

The small moral victory for those of us who knew it was a scam all along doesn’t reinvest billions back into the economy.

This should have been made public before the vote happened. There were definitely plenty of warnings that there was serious foul play in the referendum.

  2. Unless we rejoin the EU if there was interference in the Brexit Referendum then I don’t care

  3. And when they find something does anyone expect brexiteers to acknowledge they were duped by a misinformation campaign or double down and take this as a reason to leave the ECHR and get the government salivating like a dog at meal time?

  4. Does it even matter now?

What’s done is done, the EU awning going to reinstate the deal even if it was proved Leave only got 10m votes and it was all a conspiracy

  5. >This is about protecting the integrity of our politics, our democratic system and our electoral process

    – Ben Bradshaw MP

    >When people treat corruption as a routine part of the process, you have something far worse than wrongdoing or moral failing
    >
    >You have a political cancer that breeds cynicism about democratic government and infects all of society

    – Edward Brooke

    >To oppose corruption in government
    >
    >is the highest obligation of Patriotism

    – G. Edward Griffin

  6. Gove looks like he’s thinking ‘It was Boris that said it, not me’, Pair of untrustworthy so & so’s. Can’t believe a word either of them say…

  7. Just think, if the government had the balls to actually investigate the Russian interference in Brexit properly the first time ([The report said the government “**had not** seen or **sought evidence of successful interference in UK democratic processes**,” and an official UK government response said: “We have seen no evidence of successful interference in the EU referendum.”](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Russian_interference_in_the_2016_Brexit_referendum#:~:text=Russia%20report,-On%2017%20October&text=The%20report%20said%20the%20government,interference%20in%20the%20EU%20referendum.%E2%80%9D)), we might not need to be investigated by the European Court of Human Rights

  8. Brexit hasn’t even happened yet ,all that has happened is the French causing trouble to exporters. We could do the same but don’t have the infrastructure to enforce the rules we wrote !

  9. Pretty fucking ironic eh? The ECHR investigating something which, of course, they have no unbalanced interest in. If anyone actually believes that the referendum was swung by Russian(?) Disinformation, they are delusional.

  10. Some people really angry.

    People to blame also.

27% (72.2% turnout) of the population that didn’t vote.
So chances are, 1 in 4 people you know, didn’t vote. Be sure to take it up with them.

I’d really love to know how many of these loud remainers didn’t vote.

  11. I didn’t realise this group was so deluded.

And what do you call the infamous government propaganda, sorry leaflet, sent to every house on the run up to persuade people to vote remain? Or the maniacal media campaign against leaving? All that and you still lost. Yet a few russian bots in echo chamber lefty twitter swung it did they?

How dare those stupid people made up their own minds and came to a conclusion different to your own. It’s time to get the fuck over it. It’s pathetic.

I actually voted remain but some of the comments here are just ridiculous and bigoted.

  12. Sadly as much as I would love the validation it doesn’t change anything. England is now in decline now even a new Labour government next year will not fix it as they’re not really labour anymore. Scottland will leave either through democratic means or escalations similar to the troubles. Northern Ireland will vote to reunify with the Republic of Ireland and Wales will see that they can either stick attached to the rotting corpse or England or amputate the dead limbs and have a go either in complete independence or Scottland and potentially the EU. There is no future for England sadly, Tory leadership over the last 13 years has driven most of the economy into the ground and dragged 70% of the UK population kicking and screaming out of the EU because a tiny minority of the Tory Elite wanted out as they new the EU would block their plans to turn the country into a dystopian police state where the poor fight to survive on a daily basis and the rich engorged themselves while fleeing the country using the freedoms they took away from the rest of us.

  13. European Unionists really are a sore bunch of losers. They’re just like the Scottish and Irish Separatists. Us Brits have gone through three of these referendums now and won all three. But of course our opposition don’t accept it. They’re as bad as those who still think Trump is their president.
