Recently visited Dublin and had myself my first full Irish, €13.50, good deal?

  1. One of my favourite things about Britain and Ireland is how everyone has their own fry, which is essentially minute variations on the same shit, and will vehemently defend theirs as superior despite the tradition only stemming back about 60-70 years. It’s not like I’m above it either. I’m literally sitting here looking at those hashbrowns with scorn

  2. Needs a second egg and a second rasher. Bit pricey but other than that it looks daycent. I wouldn’t turn it down by any means

  3. That looks like really good quality. I would rather pay more for higher quality that skimp on the cost and get shite.

  4. For comparison’s sake, a smaller version of that breakfast here in the USA would be about $20, and the pudding/sausages/rashers would be Irish “style” and absolutely rank.

  5. What were the puddings like? They are generally the barometer for fry quality for me. If they are poor quality I’d think the rest of the fry is similar. That looks quite delicious to me.

  6. That’s very nicely laid out, any full Irish I’ve ever had was just thrown on a big plate in the middle of the table followed by an exhausted, very fucked off “there… eat!!” 😂

  7. A lot of people complaining about the price. Would you all look at the quality! You big apes. That looks smashing and if it’s in Dublin, that’s a steal.

  8. Looks very nice, saucey enough price though, I read in the comments no tea included. So with the crucial brew it’s really about 16 quid. That’s the jackeen hoors for ya though.

  9. Given some of the pure shite that has been posted here in the last few weeks, you’re ahead of the curve with that one.

I do still remember getting 3 rashers, 3 sausages, 2 eggs, white and black pudding, tommy toes, toast and a massive cup of coffee in Bewley’s in the 90s for about 6 quid though. Would set you up for the whole day. If you were nice to the ladies behind the counter, you’d get as many coffee refills as you wanted to. Granted, it wasn’t GREAT coffee, but it was sound.

Sorry for the ramble, that’s a nice fry and in today’s terms, good value. You did OK 🙂

    And now I’m starving.

  10. Looks good but not much workspace on there. Maybe when the beans are lifted it’ll work also I’d sack of beans for another egg

  11. Looks good though I’d swap the mushrooms and tomato for more beans. More beans on the plate (just because that seems to annoy people?)

But yeah, other than stingy beans looks good!

  12. I’ve seen loads of places charge more for less, and not as well presented at this, usually they just lob it on a plate and ask for €15, if you’re lucky.

Hope you loved it and now end up getting a taste for it but nothing comes close to “that breakfast I had in Ireland!” which makes you come back for more ha

Out of curiosity, what did you think of our deli counters in normal shops? Cos I travel fairly frequently and the one thing I always miss is having the option of a good deli counter in so many shops.

  13. My husband took a good look at this and suggested they swap the hash browns for fried potatoes. Not a proper full Irish in his opinion. Though crowd 😂

  14. That looks really delicious and actually quite a reasonable price for such a place. Where did you go to?

  15. Please forgive my ignorance. I am an Englishman after all. But that just looks like a full English. I was always under the impression that there were some elements which set an Irish breakfast apart from an English breakfast.
