Govt fail to hit revised social housing targets last year as concerns raised for 2023

  1. What’s the point in these targets if no one is ever going to be held accountable when they aren’t met.

  2. When they finish building them, they leave them empty for 6 to 9 months before actually putting people in them.

  3. We did though build the most homes since the financial crisis – about 28,000. Still not enough obv, but *if* we can grow that in 2023, then it’s at least something.

  4. It’s a sign of low expectations that I was pleased to see they at least got past 50% of their target

  5. It’s almost as if *shock* they deliberate failed because they don’t want to build _enough_ housing.

Almost as if *gasp* it’s insanely profitable to have a permanent housing crisis.

  6. I am shocked and appalled to learn this government missed it’s intended target 😶😶😶😶😶 shocked and appalled.

  7. Housing Minister interviewed yesterday. No hard questions asked. Gave a load of bullshit about needs being met etc etc. Not a fucking clue about the reality of the housing defecit.

  8. Yeah it’s bad, but what about the SF. Everyone knows it’s their fault. They didn’t build any in NI either
