It’s almost like immigration laws exist for a reason, to prevent overwhelming of services such as housing, health, transport and education and that opening the floodgates for refugees/asylum seekers and increasing the population by 2% a year is going to cause massive problems for the people living here.

Its also a ridiculous article because an acute shortage of school places is already well known in dublin and across the country, it’s just getting worse.

Our large secondary school in west Dublin only took 1 Ukrainian student in last year as she was the only one to request a place. She recently moved back home as the area she lived wasn’t really affected by the war and her parents only sent her to her aunt in Ireland as a precaution.
..how could anyone possible have predicted such a thing. Only gonna keep on getting worse and worse.
