Nadhim Zahawi – the whole story

  1. This guy attempted to deprive the State of much needed taxes. Money needed for hospitals, the disabled & other vulnerable groups. Just gobsmacking that a British multimillionaire Government Minister would endeavour to avoid supporting vulnerable sections of his society.

  2. Let’s be honest, if this was plain and simple tax avoidance, Zahawi wouldn’t have gone to all this trouble, and certainly wouldn’t have paid up.

And to think this tory shyster was once made chancellor. Worse still, whilst he was involved with this shit.

Terrible stuff. Really fucking terrible stuff.

  3. >Zahawi absolutely did benefit from the trust in 2005, when a dividend that would have gone to Balshore was instead used to repay a loan YouGov had made to Zahawi. See page 36 here.

Could anyone with financial experience help me with this statement? How can a non financial services company make a loan to zahawi, don’t you need a banking license to give out loans? And how is this related to a dividend the company would have paid. I thought dividend is profits being paid to shareholders. Can a dividend be used to pay a loan. My reading is that last sentence is that yougov gave zahawi money as a loan and then used dividends to pay on behalf of zahawi. Huh?

  4. Its a mark of how far we have fallen that this only just makes the news.

It should be a resigning matter. Christ the guy was appointed in charge of tax policy back in the summer 🤣

  5. Let’s be honest 99% of knew he was at it from day one. Take one look at him or hear one word from him & you know he’s a born & bred conman. Quite common in the current government by all accounts…
