I was wondering if anyone has an experience with the digital nomad residence permit.

Do you think it is feasable for a family with only one person working? Is it worth it?
I was also wondering if it is kegit, as they ask to send your documents by email.
Just looking for opinions about moving for a year to Malta. We are all Canadians looking for warmth.

  1. That site is Legit, but you need to apply for a Visa if ur coming from Canada and prove your source of income. Kinda difficult for a family with 1 income unless that income is over 2.5k euros monthly. Ideally you look elsewhere as malta is very costly, and not worth what you’ll be saving in taxes. Try thailand, or portugal

  2. Hello, I don’t know if this applies to digital nomads, but make sure there isn’t a minimum required income per child that you need to satisfy to live here. I know that two years back it was massive headache for a whole bunch of tcn’s (and these were doctors, not low earners)

  3. Hi from my experience what can I say about the
Nomad visa Is that it won’t entitle you to have a long term residence if at a moment you would like to definitely stay in Malta so just keep that in mind

  4. My application was approved and will be flying to Malta in two week. It’s an easy straightforward process just make sure you meet the minimum income quota and you’d be good. I also suspect my background in IT helped with my case.
