The past few years has really higlighted how many absolute morons who are completely bereft of even basic human intelligence there are in society, it’s actually scary.
I hate that certain elements have so little respect for the guards and jail time should be stricter on this.
I saw this clip last night though and the guard knocked a phone out of protesters hand, then one of their mates clocked the guard. The guard needed to have more self control. Why have they plain clothes guards at these protests anyway? Convinced that it’s far right parties involved. Were there plain clothes guards at the counter rally in fairview ?
Let’s hope the perpetrator of the alleged assault is clearly seen in the video and dealt with accordingly
No doubt this thug had legitmate concerns which led to him assaulting the Garda…..

I’m sure the far right lads were quick to complain about the absence of the rule of law these days.
It’s very frustrating to try to explain to people who aren’t affected directly by this but here goes. I live in a suburb of Dublin, single mother of one 13 Yr old. I work with people of all nationalities, I’ve previously helped in a voluntary capacity to report racist incidents and I’d literally talk to anybody I don’t give a toss about your race, religion, gender.
My town has had a direct provision centre for as long as I’ve lived here over 15yrs. When the war broke out we rallied around and delivered supplies to all the ukrainian families being supported in a local hotel.
In the past 6months all those Ukrainians have been moved on 2 hotels and an empty office within 2km of my house have all been contracted to house male IPAs. There have been antisocial incidents e.g. fighting amongst themselves in the middle of the day on the roads, drinking on streets and in parks, ladies paths blocked, pissing in public, ladies followed, cat called, stared at by clusters of men while passing. Maybe some of it is cultural, maybe because they have fuck all to do, maybe they can’t drink in their hubs so drink on the streets. All I know is I’m not able to go for a walk in peace anymore it’s too scary. I’m even a lot stricter with my 13yr old when he’s out. There are somewhere in the region of 800-1000 men suddenly moved into my area. When we have spoken with community guards nothing gets done. They’ve even said let us know if you see a crime. I honestly don’t expect lads to understand that fear because it’s more a problem for females. The community meetings were predominantly female attendees. Not racists. It was a gender issue. And noone is listening politicians or guards. Nothing left but to protest. No cap on how many more might come. Govt gave themselves permission to put them in any building. I’ll protest tomorrow I shouldn’t have to be a prisoner in my own home because they dumped 800+men into our town.
