The weather has planned to be nice and its a lovely spot if you fancy a quick walk on the moor.
To them that hath shall be given.
If the National park authority give more than 2’/6d of taxpayers money to those vultures then they are stealing from the taxpayers.
It’s time Britain had some genuine national parks, i.e. nature parks that are publicly owned, not the privately owned farmland and shooting estates we have now.
So it was never about not wanting people to wild camp on their land but was more the fact they didn’t want people to wild camp for free
The rich win again it seems, and all while making money taking pleasures away from people. No wonder we are the laughing stock of the world.
What a good use of our tax money…
Codify access rights in law, make it cover all highlands and wastes in England and Wales, camping and roaming.
2) The “owner” can revoke access at any point if they change their mind.
3) The wealthy “owner” is essentially getting paid through our tax money.
Many stately homes have fallen into public ownership, or into the hands of The National Trust because of inheritance tax. Farmland and associated buildings and structures are not subject to that tax. The British public will never get these huge estates out of the hands of private ownership. The rich landowners have made sure of that, and the Tory Party will never side with regular people in this regard.

What an utter scam.
This would be a travesty if it happened in Scotland, cant imagine how it feels in England and Wales essentially having nowhere left
Campaigners are planning [a protest on Dartmoor on Saturday](https://www.eventbrite.com/e/raise-old-crockern-to-defend-dartmoor-tickets-514716339427) to demand the right to camp on the moor is restored.

A couple of key points.
1) Looks like most forests are banned areas.
2) The “owner” can revoke access at any point if they change their mind.
3) The wealthy “owner” is essentially getting paid through our tax money.
