Had an accident. Is it possible to fix it?

  1. Swap it out with a new plank, doesn’t have to be exactly the same width. Worst case swap it with the last plank on either side.

  2. Easy to fix, you can either swap it out, let it be or remove it and put the other planks with bigger space between them

  3. Put a plank under that fit the opening drive screws in from the top.. vola better than new .. get fat kid to jump on it again to test

  4. Measure the plank width & height. Go to a DIY store that sells wood & find something similar. They will probably have a saw you can cut it to size with. Brute force remove the old plank, insert new plank and secure with a screw.

And go easy on your partner next time, only gentle jackhammering!

  5. Fuck the black cover thing, unless u are going to gonna sell the bed😂

Just cut it around the plank with a knife or scissor. Thenbuy new plank and put it in between.

    Optional quickfix:
Sacrafice the bottom plank on the feet side of your bed😊

  6. Remove the board and go down to your local lumber store, and ask them to cut you a new one….

  7. Ain’t Norwegian, never been to Norway, but I love this sub’s content. Most of the posts are like “Hey people from Skyr- *cough* Norway, tell me how to live’n’shit cause we both know the laws of physics apply everywhere but in your land”. Lmao

  8. Yep, fit the pieces together and glue a support bar on the back of it. Let the bar be minimum half the length of the slat and as wide for max support. Glue properly using wood glue and compress the pieces using clamps for a few hours.

  9. Thin planks for bedframes? You get them at Maxbo. You probably don’t have to pay. Look in the excess waste at the woodcuter machine.

  10. Dumb – Just use it until the mattress dips in. Hopefully with careful use the bed will be completely usable.
PS : mark the spot and avoid any undue movement there .

Lazy – carefully place brick below to support both side of broken plank.
PS : dont move or shake the bed anymore.

Simple – Glue the broken pieces .
PS : remember, only soft load on top of it .

Easy – Glue the surrounding unbroken planks . Put appropriately sized ply (10 mm width will do) on top .
PS: once glue is dry, sell it on Finn. Buy new.

Smart – Place an easy available yet strong object ( eg: a steel pipe, of length of plank long from say WC and place on top of broken one . Tie with a rope on both ends of the pipe to the plank.

PS: call plumber to fix WC situation immediately.
