This is a direct result of police cuts. Back room staff doing “boring admin” not frontline policing gets trimmed to the bone. It’s fine until a mistake slips through unchecked when human error inevitably happens.
You need sign off from your GP to renew a licence (every 5 years) and my GP absolutely hates doing it because if something happens, the blame is pointed at her for giving approval.
