George Hook on the ‘rape culture’ comments that got him sacked and the despair he once felt

  1. What he said on the TV show

    > “I had – and it cost me my job – certain views that when we send our girls out we have a responsibility to tell them that if they have 10 vodkas they’re not in a good position to defend themselves against predatory males,”

What he said on the radio that got him rightfully fired

    > “Is there no blame now to the person who puts themselves in danger?”

Even today, he doesn’t seem to understand it. Or maybe he knows full well what he said and just wants to twist it in to something different to present his firing in a different light.

  2. We’re in a frankly terrifying age where vulnerable young men are being radicalised to become misogynists because of grifters like Andrew Tate. Last thing we need are people like Hook casually diminishing the accountability these violent acts should carry for the sake of a debate.

  3. His been on virgin media twice this week. There eat with enemy show where he doubled down on his comments. Then the tonight show where he shouted and talked over the other people. Assume Virgin media want to bring him back for the outrage views

  4. Yeah but he was a massive slobbering right-wing c**t for like a decade after he stopped commentating rugby and started blathering about women and immigrants.
