I have made a comic book version of Egil’s saga, one of the sagas of the Icelanders. I am curious to know what people who know of it think of my version.

Defiled? This is hilarious and fantastic. Thank you. Not done with it yet, but really enjoying it so far.
If you’re not familiar with Halldór Laxness’s “Gerpla”, you might like it. He wrote a sort of a parody of the sagas. It’s been translated as “Wayward heros”, but I thought the translation was pretty sloppy.

Feels like a bitesized retelling of a very complicated story. So while it lacks some of the debth that the original saga has to offer i still think that you stay reletively true to the feeling and atmosphere of Egilssaga so that it may reach a wider audience and perhaps convince more people to read the original.
