[According to this article it’s a subscription… Brilliant that’s all I needed to do today, talk to aib for an hour while they sort my shit out, didn’t even mention anything about this on the site either](https://www.irishtimes.com/news/consumer/pricewatch-readers-queries-1.1716881)
It happened me but with dominoes

Pretty sure you have to actively agree to being subscribed to it.
Happened to me once. Was buying something. Don’t remember who or what. And as part of the payment process was brought to me page offering an extra discount and all sorts if I signed up. Before going further, I researched and saw it was a paid service, so said no, and finished paying.
It is legit and a box is ticked after checkout on Ticketmaster and some others.
Used to work in card fraud and people always swore blind they didn’t tick the box or agree to it then the company would refuse chargeback and send proof… almost every time the customer was at fault.
It is shit but just cancel it now and lesson learned. AIB might refund out of good will which I don’t agree with but thats another conversation.
Maybe change the thread title to ‘I’m a silly person who didn’t read the small print but it’s somebody else’s fault’
Happened to me. It’s a pop up on the ticketmaster site that asks if you want a discount on future tickets, but in very small font, the t&c’s say it is a monthly subscription. I contacted them and got a full refund
Don’t touch WLY. Hehe, good advice.
Yeah they do that. They sneakily hide the acceptance and if you don’t read carefully, you’re agreeing to it
Here is a post I made a few years back about completesave, robbing bastards

Irish Rail were doing too (not still sure if they do). Completely misleading, you are subscribing to something with little purpose. I complained to the ASAI but they didn’t do anything about it ( there should be an independent advertising watchdog – catching people like this should be banned – the service should something really beneficial and not a trap).
Boomer
This is a box that you probably ticked. My husband did this after ordering from Dominos once and his account was charged.
You just have to call them, share your details, and request a cancellation along with a refund. The money was refunded within a week, and we haven’t had an issue since.
You opted for the cash back and created a profile with these people amd in the small print it stayes after 30 days you will be charged for the service even says 15 quid
did the same to me,
i didn’t think suff like that was legal, it’s very unethical anyway
but i guess monopolies can behave like scumbags if governments and customers stand idly by
Never using them they suck
*This is not for you, fuck you, this is not for you*
Ask for a chargeback. The company have to prove you agreed. It’s not worth it for them.
