They won’t though. NI have the best of both worlds at the moment.
They can look forward to a 200% increase in rent, mortgages and groceries and enjoy continued lockdowns to protect the HSE from collapsing
Imagine if the free state had done something akin to brexit, a referendum that somehow jeopardised NI’s membership of The UK, the unionists would have virtually started a war with us, *that’s* what the tories have done, but because they sold it to the unionists they either are too dumb or too proud to admit what has happened. The moment the brexit vote passed, NI’s future as a part of the UK was doomed
And next year will be the year of the Linux desktop.
Feels like I’ve been hearing this for years.
I think it all comes down to the NI protocol in the Brexit agreement. After a couple years of doing well from having a foot in both camps support for a UI will dwindle.
For the life of me I don’t understand why the Unionists are so against the protocol. It’s their only hope of staying in the UK long term.
Great, so all those DUP-voters will be *our* problem.
2024 for the Star Trek memes please
Like anyone leaving a toxic relationship, I think Northern Ireland needs some time alone to learn to love itself again before jumping into the next relationship.
About 800 years ought to do it.
Ah great. So just another 10 years of Westminister fucking up their economy, with zero incentive to improve it, then we get to clean up their Tory mess.
If/when unionists decide to show up they better be bringing some of that supposed work ethic with them. None of that living off civil service jobs.
My hope for Northern Ireland is they force the Republic to abolish DCC and replace the HSE with some kind of equivalent of the NHS as the price of admission into a greater Ireland
All the polling shows support for a united Ireland collapses if taxes would have to go up.
It’s not going to happen.
Within my lifetime I want to see
* reunification of Ireland
* Ireland mens rugby to win a World Cup
* Kildare to win an all-Ireland
I’m currently 40, wonder if I’ll see any of the above
They really don’t understand what “clockwise” means.
I hope it gets help. You can’t just quit cold turkey.
Honestly this Poll is bullshit. As someone from the north.
for a united ireland to happen the generation that experienced the troubles needs to pass on. I’ll believe united ireland is possible in maybe 2040/2050
