Andrew Barlow: Deputy PM steps in over serial rapist’s parole

  1. The fact we keep having to have these conversations shows how poor our sentencing is, and how poor our parole system is.

*Twelve* rapes. *Twelve*, including this one:

    > n September that year he raped a 26-year-old woman in her Sheffield home in front of her three-year-old daughter.

Sorry, but I see absolutely no reason why he should ever be released. Why does the public have to take the chance that he’s suddenly gone off the idea of violently raping women? Why should a single one of his victims EVER have to wake up in the morning knowing he’s free? Why? What good is he to society, to anybody?

He’s had twelve life sentences passed upon him, with the latest being just 13 years ago. Absolutely ridiculous

Edit: Jesus, it gets better. He was also convicted of 2x attempted murder of police officers, who he shot at.
