This might not be the perfect sub to post this on but given that I’m looking for something very German and the fact there are a bunch of Germans around, maybe even older generations, I thought I should give this a shot as it might be my best option.

I remember my friend introducing me to a game when were kids, it must have been in the mid-90s. He gave it to me on floppy disks and I think it might have been around for a while at that time, too. I seem to remember that it was called “Liga” but the thing is, I’m not sure if the game was actually called that or if it was just the file name.

In the game, you’d take over the role of a soccer manager. You had to chose the lineup and strategy, what players to buy from other teams, maybe even investing in ads and finding sponsors? I’m not sure. It was pretty primitive, mostly text and buttons. You’d “watch” the games too, but they’re mostly just slideshows showing a 2D topdown view of the field in the style of tactical boards, accompanied with bit-crushed cheering by the crowds and the ref’s whistle.

I seem to remember that the teams were actual teams of the Bundesliga too, with proper names and everything (at least accurate to whatever time the game was made.)

I wasn’t big into soccer at all but it really captivated me. Especially since the first few matches were so easy that with the right set up, you’d beat the other teams 12-0. Good fun.

Does anyone remember this? I imagine its abandonware by now but I can’t find it anywhere.

It’s not [Bundesliga Manager](https://image.jimcdn.com/app/cms/image/transf/dimension=origxorig:format=png/path/s5fa56af83c9e1e14/image/id5c91d687dba9b7e/version/1415950529/image.png) or at least not this version. It looked much more simple than that.

If any German boomer remembers this game, please let me know!
