  1. Last week, students from 12 Belgian schools took part in a commemorative trip to the former Auschwitz-Birkenau camps (an initiative from the War Heritage Institute and the Belgian Defence). A meaningful experience in presence of Simon Gronowski, one of the last survivors of the deportation! (We’ll publish his testimony soon)

  2. Went there a few years ago and was haunting. I struggle to think how much more it’d be to be there with a faint snowfall and the images that calls to mind.

  3. It’s interesting to think that WWII only lasted 6 years.

    And the amount of sheer destruction it caused in only 6 years.. with the technology that was available back then.

    Frightening.
