How come this is not usually in the news? Am I biased in the news that I consume? (I do not live in Berlin). I seldomly hear anything about murders un Germany besides the knife/terror attacks.
Edit: [source](https://berlinspectator.com/2022/04/22/berlin-overall-number-of-crimes-decreases-100-murder-and-manslaughter-cases-in-2021/)
Edit2: perception of safety is an important metric in certain indexes used to develop international rankings on things like well-being/happiness/ qualiy of life/best countries for expats, migrants, etc. that’s why I am curious (I seem to be biased in my perception btw).

Why is it relevant to the public if a violent crime happens in private dispute or out of personal motives?
It would be nice to provided with the source you got this from, to be able to judge it’s validity. But to be honest, for a city the size of Berlin, this doesn’t sound like an unreasonable number and not particularly high to me. Stats I found with a quick google search put the number of murders and attempted murders at about 50 per year, and that doesn’t even include manslaughter cases which I’d assume are more frequent.
