Now, he should just fuck off and take his PIS and Orban with him.

Poland is driving Europe to war, once again.
And open yourself for progressiv views.. we dont need more christian fundamentalists, who want to hold the eu in the medieval times.
>The European Union and NATO should open their doors to all countries who want to join, Poland’s President Andrzej Duda says.
OK. I mean why not as long as they fulfil the requirements and everybody happy with that.
>Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, the Polish president said countries such as Moldova and Georgia should enjoy the same welcome as his country did.
And they’ll if they fulfil the requirements and everybody happy with their accession.
>”*We are also talking about energy security, we are talking about Europe’s energy independence, and we are talking about the fact that the Russian policy, as we now all see, was brutally designed and aimed at domination over Europe, hence* ***Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2. This is also the reason for our Polish protests against Nord Streams, as we saw in it a path to Russian hegemony in the European energy market, in terms of gas. We have been diversifying gas supplies to Poland for years, because we saw the danger. Unfortunately, our warnings were ignored.*** *That’s why today we are talking in Davos about building energy security with our heads held high, because we have been doing it for a long time.”*
Come on, buddy. At least admit that your protest went as far as getting that cheap Russian fossil fuels too. This is another attempt to distance themselves from our collective sins.
>Today, the **biggest aid to Ukraine is from the United States.** I am very proud as president of Poland, because we are in **an absolutely leading position** as far as this military aid to Ukraine is concerned. For this military aid we’ve already spent over **$2.3 billion.**
How can he say something factually wrong and contradict himself with three sentences? Also: let’s not talk about how this is a huge expense considering Poland aims for monetary restitution from the EU …
>*Nations that have the right to decide in which direction they want their states to go, in which direction they want their regimes to go. If the Ukrainians, our neighbours, want to belong to the European Union, if they want to belong to NATO, if the same is true of the people of Moldova, if the same is true of the people of Georgia, they have the right to do so.*
Sure. But in regards to NATO and the EU again: see above.
All three nations mentioned have a lot to do in terms of NATO and most certainly in terms of EU. All three nations would require massive amounts of funding and aid to catch up with the EU and for the foreseable future I don’t see the EU able to handle it.
Thank you 💥💥💥
Certain countries in the EU and NATO have gatekeeper syndrome.
I don’t have an opinion on the EU opening up, but I think NATO is already too large as it is. No disrespect intended, but many of the recent additions are countries that are so small, they cannot possible be expected to meaningfully defend other member nations in case of attack.
That’s not meant to be a slight against the small NATO countries, they are what they are and I don’t fault them for wanting to be part of NATO. But they’re really more like consumers of the security guarantees of NATO membership, rather than credible providers of that security.
Why? More people is more potential money to beg?
Yes.
But also lets get rid of widespread unaminity vote requirenments n the EU first, otherwise each additional member will by defintion make the EU more ungovernable. Thats just math.
Sadly I doubt Duda in particular will be open to that.
No more EU expansion until the single country veto is gone. It’s suicide for the union
NATO should absolutely be open though
The door has been open for a while. You just have to raise yourself a bit to get over the doorstep and come in.
Poland is literally a shining example of why the EU shouldn’t just ”open the doors”
And get in another country like poland?
Poland wasnt ready, everybody knew it but because it was big it was allowed in (how that ever makes sense beats me) and we see the result.
Well I think there is a country which submitted request in 1987, and still waits for open policy.
And in case of Ukraine, there are 29 NATO and 26 EU countries deciding. There is not single gatekeeper
However, I supposerd the statement was given in view of the EU Ukraine Council in February,, where should be.decided on starting negotiations. So far, at least two countries would requite that Ukrainian Parliament takes seriously EC recommendation.
I mean it is a bit a surreal, that the EU gives recommendation on Copanhagen criteria while country is in war. Dont see a point in negotiations at this moment, as I dont see what they can negotiate, as Ukraine is fighting to exist as a country,. The EC is as always out of touch with reality

He wants Serbia and Turkey in the EU?
