Public pressure works. It forced them to go against their own ridiculous laws.

Legally speaking, she did these crimes before she transitioned to a woman, so I’m assuming that the Scottish government legally recognized this person as a man while she did the crimes, therefore she should do her sentence in a men’s prison.
Is it perfect ? Far from it, but it’s still the least worse outcome.
Seems like putting someone convicted of raping women in an all-female prison would be a bad idea regardless of the person’s gender.

No rapist, regardless of gender or if they are transgender or not, should be housed with women.
