i would love to see heavy snow here for week or two. not because i fancy snow but to watch all car crashes and officials talking about yet another thing they dont know anything about xd
this makes me miss the 90s so much. I actually saw this video the other day.
:edit: I just realized I actually remember this. I thought 25 years was further in the past not 1998. That day my sister was getting baptised. I was 6. I remember my dad wanting to take me outside to make a “snow”man whilst my mum wouldn’t let me as I’d catch a cold. Eventually we convinced her as dad said it was a once in a lifetime thing. He was right, haven’t witnessed anything like it so far.
Also fuck i’m getting old.
We’d never hear the end of it from the climate crazies if this happened today.
How different the country looked back then. The first few seconds don’t even look like Malta.
Was that really snow?
Seriously? Maltese can’t drive in normal conditions, this must have been hilarious.
Thanks for sharing 🙂 Gave me some 90s nostalgia! We used to live close to Birkirkara in the 90s and I remember that the flooding used to move the cars in our street.
I remember that day, you could actually find frozen hail up to 2 days later in shaded areas as temperatures were low enough to allow for slow tawing of ice piles.
I still have a faint memory of this day, I was 6 years old. The roof was full of snow and rainwater and mum was afraid that it would collapse, so she went upstairs and tried to dislodge the snow stuck in the drain hole so at least the rainwater would run off and relieve some pressure. I still remember my young sister next to me watching in awe. Childhood memories.
