You couldn’t make it up. Donahue’s mate was made chair of a regeneration board while he was hoarding property he allowed to go derelict.

Eventually flipped the sites for a tidy profit.
Not going to click on that site. But the main reason why sites are ‘hoarded’ is because of crazy planning delays, especially when you want to do something useful like build-up.
Great little country…
Surely this was already public information? Or is there something new here?
Does anyone else think Pascal held off questions in the Dail to allow himself to see what other skeletons are left in the closet?
I love how ontheditch are just drip feeding the information.
What a wonderful site ontheditch.ie is. Scaring the bejaysis outta FG no end. They probably thought they had control over all major news sites, well they have. But not the ditch!
A brief reminder that the Dept of Finance was already seen to be cherry picking data and downplaying the level of vacancy in our cities.
Now maybe I’m just being conspiratorial, but if a donor and friend is an owner of a derelict site in Dublin City centre, would you Be more pushed or less pushed about telling the truth about vacancy and dereliction? And thus take the profit out land hoarding? They literally said well Clontarf and Rochestown have low levels of vacancy, so therefore Dublin and Cork respectively haven’t high levels of vacancy, case closed etc.
