For non-article readers: It is at least temporary, it’ll be gone in a couple of ~~months~~ ~~years~~ decades
> Anglian Water said it accepts the pipe has changed the look of the estate but it is temporary.
> A spokeswoman added: “As soon as we permanently fix the damaged section of the sewer, we will remove the temporary pipe.
> “Although it is difficult to give timescales at this stage, as it depends on the extent of the repair required, we currently estimate the work will take around eight weeks.
> “Taking everything into account, we believe the pipe will be in place until the end of March.
How dare they put in a temporary solution whilst they repair the permanent one? The fucking audacity of it.
Let’s put it this way Anglian water are paying a fortune for that over pumping, they don’t want it as much as the customer but having a sewer burst is even worse for them.
Looking at that pipe it’s capable of over 1000 litres per second so it’s moving a substantial amount of waste.
GREAT Britain… Beacuse fuck the little people, that’s why!
It’s temporary. Do they want the underground pipe to burst and their streets and homes to be flooded with their own shit or an overground pipe for a few months?
Another purposefully misleading headline. Temporary whilst they sort out a below ground issue.
“Just feet” having apparently abandoned any form of measurement beyond feet it’s also just feet from Buckingham Palace.
