Hiii all! We are Polly and Jon! I’m from Hong Kong 🇭🇰 and Jon is from Norway. 🇳🇴. Before we move to Australia 🇦🇺, we decided to go for a crazy northern trip.
We went for a magical winter trip to the far north of Norway: Alta. That’s 70 degrees north – and much further north than where Jon grew up in Norway in Lillestrøm.
As we booked a 3-day golden package from Sorrisniva(it costed quite a lot…)so our itinerary were all sorted out and super well-planned. We went chasing the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis), riding with dogsleds and reindeer, driving snowmobiles, staying in an igloo hotel in Sorrisniva!
It was such a dreamy, bucket-list 3-day trip that we will never forget in our life. I do recommend those who consider travelling to Norway, or want something exclusive, or thinking about where to see Northern Light!!! It’s such beautiful place.
Really highly highly recommended! (No sponsor, all from my heart)
PS we have always wanted to try dogsledding. And, one of the most unique things you can witness in Alta is “Finnmarksløpet”, Europe’s longest dog sledding race, which is 1,200 KM long, and which is dubbed «the winter’s most beautiful adventure» by its participants. The race itself is not taking place during our visit, but we are dog sledging about 10km along the very trail that Finnmarksløpet follows each year. And, of course, we love dogs!
Anyway, so much to share but don’t want to bother everybody here, here’s the link for our Day 1 experience -Dogsledding, Lavvu and trying Finnbiff, if you like it, consider subscribing as well💕 Cheers [Polly and Jon](https://youtu.be/nMEXlcK3LLo)

I’m glad you found sometging less mainstream. Alta is much like Tromsø, except less crowded and the experiences are closer. So, better?
