Tesco taking us for a bunch of fools ..

  1. I get all my toiletries and house cleaning stuff in dealz. It’s alot cheaper. My local centra charges 7 euro for shower gel, it’s fucking nuts

  2. I feel sorry for the Tesco’s staff, plenty of times I’ve seen a customer eat the head of a staff member going on about how it’s advertised for €3 but being charged for €4 and the staff then explaining to them about the club card price only for the customer to throw a bigger tantrum!

  3. Have to laugh at these posts, would people rather moan about it instead of getting the clubcard…. People thinking they are being scammed when the base price is still higher elsewhere….

  4. Not a big deal. Take a photo of your friends clubcard if you dont want one or just ask the person behind you in the queue.

  5. What is with these posts? Just get a clubcard and get on with it.

“Tesco will get my data though”…I don’t think they can really do much knowing you buy specific bog roll and pot noodles twice a week.

  6. They get some amount of free advertising on here. Just get a clubcard you feckin conspiracy theorist weirdos. The government won’t care how many chicken Kievs and adult nappies you buy.

  7. The way people harp on about this, I would be convinced that the clubcard was some sort of exclusive membership / paid scheme (like Costco in USA) – you can literally make a clubcard on your phone in the store in seconds, so what’s the big problem?

  8. Can we set up another sub just for this? This is the fourth post about this I’ve seen in a short space of time.
Seriously just shop elsewhere or spend five seconds getting the clubcard app. Nobody is forcing you to shop in Tesco. And some of us really benefit from the clubcard prices. You’re all already on cellphones, on social media, and have other loyalty cards etc.

  9. I would be concerned that anyone thinks you can go 72 hours without a shower and using this instead.

  10. Tesco invented the clubcard. They also created a data analysis company called Dunnhumby Analytics to extract value from their clubcard data. As time has gone on, they have sold their data and licensed their analytics as a service out to other retailers. With this hard push on to Clubcard based sales, it looks like they are making a hard push to increase the value of Dunnhumby.
