I’m moving to Germany from Belgium and I would like to collect information about other bank providers out there, as my online search was not satisfying enough. I have been having a basic N26 account for years, and I’m a bit pissed on paying for instant bank transfers.
I am an employee, with a random need of a credit card for online purchases. If possible, I’m looking for an account with cheap/free instant bank transfers.
Also, what’s your opinion on the classic debit card vs. **girocard**? Is the latter as used as, e.g., [Bancontact](https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bancontact) in Belgium or [Bancomat](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bancomat_(interbank_network)) in Italy (i.e., nationally-spread dedicated payment circuits)?
