As for the 440 that have gone missing, what proportion are male and did they happen to have genes that made them have facial hair despite only being 13 or something?
Edit: I somehow missed the line below from the article, basically they’re male and ’16’ or ’17’. Once again I wonder how many have really good facial hair…

I think it’s a bit of a stretch calling them children. If they’re coming in unaccompanied, with no ID/papers etc, anyone who looks young enough can claim to be a child. I would have passed as a 16yo until I was at least 30, and I still get asked for ID in my mid 30s. Do we just take these people at their word, put them in foster families and schools and just hope for the best?
