Person arrested after three wounded in knife attack in Brussels

  1. Ah, so that’s what happened to my friend… described absolute chaos in the metro and the station, was essentially mostly mad to be late and hungry…

Person already known from the police, the article says… I swear, if it’s the same guy as the time I got pushed on the tracks by the panicking crowd… We really need to do something about justice and mental healthcare.

  2. I thought terrorism means you cause harm based on ideology (political, religious, …).

Without saying or insinuating that it is terrorism, I’m just wondering, how can they say it’s not terrorism if they don’t know the motive yet?

Anyway: whether it’s ideological or an other reason, hope the attacker goes behind bars for a long time and the victims can recover as much as possible (both physically as mentally)!

  3. Goddamn it I hate wanton violence.

It’s very distressing to live in a city where random violence is a daily occurence in public places. My girlfriend is there every day, I take the metro every day. It’s just a drain on my life. A colleague was robbed, attacked and hospitalised recently. Where I work, at North, there’s such a clear overflow of drugs spreading throughout the area. People smoking fucking crack at 9 in the morning in a busy metro station.

I have no idea what to think of it, as it is a terribly complicated issue. But something needs to be done. What does the city even tell these people that were stabbed, probably by someone high out of their fucking mind? Like hundreds of people on the Brussels PT system.
