  1. I tend to watch a bit of property tours on YT and the other day this popped up and it was instantly recognizable.

Unfortunately they took the pool table and last supper painting but still…

If you’re lucky there might still be a few quid under the deck…

Serious note (yawn) a quick google shows it was up at €1,200,000 last year obviously did not sell and is now on at €975,000.

For Dublin and it’s size dare I say it’s not half bad on the value front. 3500-4000 sq ft.

  2. Seems relatively reasonably priced?

I dunno maybe I’m just thrown off by crazy prices listed in other parts of Dublin, but seems like a pretty big apartment for the price

Is that area of Drumcondra dodgy?

  3. I actually worked on the sale of this property. Was a receiver sale possibly the reason why there’s not much interest in it

  4. I was about to buy this until I noticed the stained glass window with Jimi Hendrix and all the boys isn’t there anymore. I’ll be staying in my Ma’s so.

  5. For a moment I thought you meant the Walton’s… Then penny dropped ab out the painting.. god that place looks well for over 13 years old.. wonder who got the painting after the second series ended.

  6. I’ve been in this very apartment and others in the same building, they’re finished extremely well and the views are excellent. This particular one was owned by the builder/developer who repurposed the old distillery, and went through periods of being rented out/being up for sale, whilst frequently being used by RTE for filming all sorts of stuff. Not surprised to hear it went into receivership tbh. This particular developer was your textbook Celtic Tiger builder, at one point driving simultaneously a silver Audi R8, red Ferarri 430, and a chromed maroon BMW M3 amongst others I can’t remember.

The block behind was bought by a nursing home operator a few years back. Overall a lovely building and very well located, very quiet for where it is. It’s not bad value for those who prefer apartment living to the maintenance of having a gaff. Property fees are high but the building is immaculate.

Random fact, McDonalds also used this place to film that ad set in future with Eamonn Dunphy in it. Also Dylan McGrath the chef lives or did live there.
