Bonjour,
We’re planning to travel to Montgenevre from the UK next week. My wife and I have both been double-jabbed. My 12 year old has had a single dose. I understand she will need a test 24 hrs before arriving in to France, and that she may require a further test within 48 hours of arrival.
I’ve read a few articles suggesting she might then need to have a test once every 24 hours to receive a Pass Sanitaire. Is this correct?
Official articles don’t suggest it’s needed e.g. https://uk.ambafrance.org/Covid-19-Conditions-de-deplacement-entre-la-France-et-le-Royaume-Uni-28925#s-t1-Se-deplacer-de-la-France-vers-le-Royaume-Uni
Other articles suggest it is required every day! e.g. https://www.valthorens.com/en/staying-with-us–useful-informations-1/covid-19-valthorens
Does anyone know what actually happens in resort???
Thanks in advance.

Hello there,
Yes, you will need a Pass Sanitaire to access the ski lifts & restaurants and any other things you might do while you’re staying in the resort.
A pass sanitaire is only valid for 24 hours, so your 12yo would need a test once every 24 hour in order to have one and be able to get on the ski lifts and do any other activities.
If there is a day you don’t use ski lifts or go to restaurants, you might not need it if you don’t go to places that require it (for example if you planned a day hiking or something)
Hi,
Someone who is 12 years old or more but not completely vaccinated requires a PCR or antigen test of less than 24h old in order to get into France.
Once in France, **from 12 years and 2 months old**, your child will require an antigen test every 24h in order to be able to eat in a restaurant, get the ski lift, etc :

Hopefully your child is somewhere in the magic range between 12 years and 12 years and 2 months.
If by chance your child contracted COVID between their first vaccination and now, this would also allow them to obtain their pass sanitaire. The TousAntiCovid application supports QR codes from the UK.

Good luck ! Just spent 2 days dealing with trips for my kids for getting back from Uni to France and it’s tricky. Plan A, plan B and plan C stuff.
Edit :
At the Covid test centre in Val Thorens : the test centre is located at Place Péclet (see exact location on the resort map below). It will be open every day from 26 November 2021 to 8 May 2022. **Antigenic tests are only made with an appointment**. Please only book if you are sure you can make it.
