That’s not amazing, it’s pretty average any secondary school band could do that same performance. Wouldn’t call the singer a stand out at all. ETA: sorry if that was way harsh but that’s show biz baby.

The original is better. Miley has a strong voice and the song has a funky disco beat.
What does this version add to the song? Genuinely asking. I mean, at least it’s not one of those godawful acoustic covers that strips away all the music.
I can really hear the pain in his voice from those harsh years growing up in the slums of Dalkey.
I thought it was pretty good – unlike the rest of ye miserable bastards 😉
From the comments on YouTube, inhaler included a riff from The Strokes into the song too.
So many musicians have a helping hand, from friends in the industry to family financial support. That can only get them so far though. People seem to like their music so fair play to them.
