Because it’s value is too low it’s not even a lira yet.
Absolute Unit
Is that a eurocent? I thought they weren’t using that anymore as a currency!
I too want a cent coin that could double as a shield
Because it’s useless?
Stat filling big water jugs with them, they gather easily in every pocket
FWIW
Finland be like: what’s a cent coin, precious?
because of metal worth
if it was bigger people would melt it
That is a juicy banana.
I need another banana to get a perspective on the banana’s size
1, 2 and 5 cents are completely useless. They should be melted, and the copper used for something that is actually needed.
That’s what happens when you launder money. It shrinks
I think the size is pretty average… Its normal okay, The Banana Is way tooo big…. And The cent have good personality
We really should get rid of at least 1 and 2 cents. Probably also 5 cents.
It’s average
Aside from 1 cent being a useless piece if hot trash:
You can after a while easily distinguish euro coins by size (bigger = worth more) . Except for 50 cets. Why is that MF bigger than a 1 euro coin?
That’s what happens when someone microwaves it. It was originally much larger.
Your penis is still smaller.
Because it shouldn’t exist.
Because if it is too big this could cause a disaster in th e spacial-time dimension, the metal of the coin could fusion with the vitamins of the banana, creating a big banana metal monster. For sure guys belive me
So it can do it’s job of being annoying, spreading germs and polluting the environment much easier.
The purpose of this coin is to bounce around in the washing machine, to slide into small cracks and under your sofa, to litter the street and just generally be annoying. This would be hard if it was any bigger.
Sewers need copper to fight bacterial growth. By making cents this small millions of them roll into sewers and do their work. This way we all contribute to the good fight.
It’s size is totally normal!!
It’s not the size of your currency that matters but how you use it!
I don’t know. We got rid of them after 1 month in NL.
Because you can’t have a cent that costs more that 1 cent to be made
In my Country it is the most useless coin in the world. 🙂
So people loose them more easily.Leading to me finding the dropped Coins at the Supermarket till and having my Day a little brightened.
Well, how to explain it graphically so all of you can understand? In some countries when you want to use the bathroom in a gas station, you have to pay 50 cents which you can then redeem when you purchase something from the shop. People started showing up with 50 bananas and it created long queues at all of the gas stations. Then, Brexit happened and especially in the UK all kinds of EU regulations on bananas which had been heavily criticized by Nigel Farage for many years at the European Parliament no longer applied. This gave everyone a chance to stop using the banana as European currency and introduce the cent.
I hope this somewhat technical and political analysis satisfies your curiosity!
why are bananas so big?! cent for scale
let’s see. This is the 0.01 euro coin. Everybody knows, the reason it exists is so that businesses can price stuff at 99.99€ !
In Finland we don’t use money, at least I haven’t seen a coin in at least 2 years
I think certain coins can be counted by weight instead of counting them individually you can put a pile on scale and its weight will correspond with value of counted coins. Small size= small weight.
Not so small on my banana scale.
I mean its not that small its pretty big for me… Kinda HUGE. Still can pay with it so what’s the problem🥲
I know, right? It’s barely even a…centimetre.

What countries in Europe still use 1c 2c and 5c coins?
I forgot 1 cent coins even exist, as they aren’t used in my country
