  1. > Robinson, who has never been in trouble before, admitted rape and assault occasioning actual bodily harm and was locked up for five years, of which he must serve two-thirds in custody, with an extended licence period of a further three years. He must also sign the sex offenders register for life and was given a lifelong restraining order.

Wow, much justice. We’re pathetic, truly.

In just 3 years that poor woman has to get up every day knowing he’s out and about. Ridiculous state of affairs.

  2. Jesus Christ. This is diabolical, I hope the victims can mentally and emotionally recover from this. Can’t believe he’s only getting five years for this.

  3. Only 5 for this? What’s the explanation on that? Is it because he was 17 when he did it? I just can’t make sense of it. How is it even possible

  4. five years is an absolutely pathetic sentence for such a sustained attack. He should get five years alone for kicking the guy unconscious and threatening to kill him. Then another long sentence for the rape.

  5. They have ‘hope’ for his future.

Fuck his future. He is a peice of shit.
No one should give a shit about his future.

  6. That is easily one of the most horrifying headlines I’ve ever read in my life.

I think I’d rather die than have someone have to go through that to save my life.

  7. A lifetime on the sex offenders register is no joke, but two thirds of a 5 year prison sentence for that horrific shit I’ve just read is.

  8. Fucking hell, what a horrible read. You could hardly imagine doing crueller things to people. I don’t know how anybody could read that and think justice has been served.

Surely he’s the definition of a danger to the public.

  9. And the prosecution didn’t once look at attempted murder or at least ABH? I could be wrong but I’m sure five years would only be for rape and assault on one person? Either that or our justice system really is fucked.

  10. Two people had their potential future ruined and now have lifelong trauma by this little cunt, I don’t care how ‘remorseful’ he is, this asshole needs locking up for longer than 3 fucking years, our justice system is so unjust.

I just hope the two victims get the emotional support they’re clearly going to need.

  11. He asked ‘are you my girlfriend now?’ Course he did the fuckin weirdo. Ugh, this was a horrible fuckin read. Vile bastard.

  12. I’m in disbelief that this man almost killed someone and then raped a woman and will be out in 3 years. They will be traumatised by this for their entire lives.

  13. I don’t like how the article stresses he has never been in trouble before. He has not been punished before. There is an important distinction, one that points towards something that needs to be changed.

I’m in agreement with comments expressing fury over the light sentence he received. He shouldn’t see light outside of prison walls again. A true menace to society.

  14. Wow “It was fucking me, what are you gonna do about it…”

I can’t imagine hearing this, and not doing at least something.

  15. Worst thing I’ve ever read. Fuck this guy and fuck this ridiculous punishment. How in the hell does a judge come to this conclusion?

  16. That’s a bizarrely low sentence even taking account the fact he was under 18 at the time of the offence. Sentencing guidelines on the rape indicate a starting point of 12 years, even reducing that by a third for the plea that’s still a way off 5 years. That’s all before we even get into the sentencing on the assault on the man.

It would make some sense if it were a life sentence with a minimum of 5 years, but several news sites are reporting it as a flat 5 years.

  17. It hurts me to know people like this are alive and (soon) back on the streets among us. Surely there’s more value in immediately extracting his brain for studies, maybe we can learn something about what led to such an abhorrent string of behaviours.

  18. I am usually not one for high sentences and I think the UK usually does get it right with 25 years for murder etc rather than the 50 given in the states.

But reading that article that had to be the most open shut, no discussion, life sentence ive ever see. Seriously. There is a good argument for the death penalty here given the certainty over his guilt.

    Fuck me. 5 years!

  19. Sorry, but remove that disgusting cretin from the gene pool…

I don’t care for the downvotes, but he is a reason for capital punishment reinstatement. imo.

  20. If the public don’t think justice has been served then they’ll start taking it into their own hands.

I wouldn’t blame the father to be looking forward to 3 years time.

  21. Could we not save some money and just dump him in the middle of the ocean?

He can contribute something to this world and become shark feed.

  22. 5 years?! I doubt he’ll get any psychiatric help inside so he won’t be rehabilitated. Normal people don’t even think about stuff like this let alone actually do it. I imagine when he gets out in a couple of years he will be a violent repeat offender.

  23. How the fuck is 3-5 years in prison any kind of justice for this? The system is utterly ridiculous at this point.

This is a brutal and unprovoked premeditated attack that could have left the man dead or with brain damage. Combined with threats to kill. His gf suffered sexual assault and both will likely have PTSD for the rest of their lives.

How does that correlate to a 5 year sentence? I’m so tired of people committing casual disgusting attacks like this and getting barely a slap on the wrist. Honestly if someone did this to my daughter or GF I would struggle not to take the law into my own hands years later.

It’s wrong but when you get these pathetic sentences I can understand why people get so enraged.

It reminds me of many cases of GBH I’ve seen. Someone ends up permanently paralysed or brain damaged for no reason, and the attackers get a couple of years. Sickening.

  24. You threatened someone that you will kill someone if you won’t allow me to rape you and then you rape and show zero remorse or guilt or anything throughout the ordeal and you get a few years. Pathetic UK, as always.

  25. This country is in absolute fucking shambles. 5 years?!

Reminds me of a time where a Scottish dental student was arrested for sexually assaulting a fucking 6 year old, but was let off because of his promising future!? (Christopher Daniel)

I just don’t understand it & it makes me want to bash my head into a pillar to know that I live in this cesspool of a country where elected officials, lawyers and judges have such a distorted view of right from wrong. Absolutely appalling.

  26. Violent rape in the UK, 2% chance of getting caught and when they do they will be out in 3 years. Might as well legalize it.

  27. 5 years?!?! He’s ruined probably both their lives.

I hope that cretin gets true justice served to him in the form of a kettle filled with boiled sugar.

  28. I worked with the womans dad and he’s one of the best blokes I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. Such a gent and he was down for a long time about this. Was never the same after it bless him. Hopefully their family can recover and heal properly now.

  29. Not nearly long enough. The trauma he has inflicted on that woman and man deserve much more. I don’t care that he was 17 that’s way more than old enough to know that shit is wrong. He could be rehabilitated with time maybe but 3 years is just not enough for that and it’s not enough of a punishment either. Also he should be off the streets for much longer this man is extremely dangerous. My heart breaks for the victims here, especially the young woman. The pain of being raped and knowing the person who did it didn’t suffer for it and might hurt someone else again is one of the most horrible types of pain imaginable

  30. ‘Lorraine Mustard, defending, said Robinson understands the trauma he caused that day, is remorseful for it and added: “He accepts he’s ruined their lives.” ‘

What is that even supposed to mean?

Opening the article was one of thr worst things I could have done to my mental health today. Its written like a horrible movie which you’re watching and can’t stop crying, but it’s actually something that happened to real people..

And the lady’s quote that ‘it keeps circling around in her head’, that is so painful, her life is changed forever because of.. What can I even call a person who does something like that?

I sincerely wish that criminal the worst that could come to him.

  31. How on earth is it such a low sentence??
Violence and sexual crimes are soaring and they will not stop when these sentences are so incredibly lacklustre

    Absolutely appalling
    20 years minimum surely

  32. they do so much fucking work to kick trans people down to make sure no rapists exploit our rights, and then actual fucking rapists get to dance around free after 3 years?

  33. Just the assault sounds like it should’ve been 5 years, rape should be another 15.

Case like this isn’t some he said she said over what happened he’s brutalised another human unconscious (attacking him a second time after he tried to run away) and then raped someone next to the person he attacked. Not to mention then shouting at her family that he raped her and attempting to attack them.
