No Sturgeon isn’t transphobic but the writer certainly revealed themselves to be one.
No matter your opinion on this case misgendering and deadnaming is (when you know the correct gender and name) transphobic. It doesn’t matter if you don’t believe them, that’s irrelevant.
This case is so ridiculous that the media is trying to incite a culture war to avoid covering other shit, this is taken on a case by case basis, the fact that people only care about trans on cis female rape is ridiculous especially when female on female rape and male on male rape is a far more common issue.
Really rape shouldn’t happen in prisons at all especially not at their current rate, but for whatever reason we accept it and depending on the criminal some people even wish it upon them.
Overall fuck the media, fuck the tories and fuck people for being tricked by this bullshit to distract from bigger issues, this one case has gotten more politicians talking and news coverage than the thousands dying in this country from poverty.
