CFF/SBB/FFS unacceptable stats: a train is late even if it is 1 second late (and not more than 3′)!

  1. Odd that they use the 3 minutes threshold since they declare it late on the station at 4 minutes. Is it to uplift the bad average from latin regions against the better Germanic average?

  2. I hope this is sarcasm, but if it’s not. This is a really good time and internationally one of the lowest. In Germany it’s 15min in the US iirc 3h.
If you meed more for whatever reason, go to Japan, there it’s 3 seconds

  3. It’s not because we have the best time keepers in the world that 3 minutes are longer than 180 seconds. Who cares if the train is 178 seconds late? First, it would dramatically increase the occurrences when I fail to take the train if they were only 1 second late, secondly nobody’s day should depend on 3 minutes at train station. 3 minutes is acceptable. More may start being a problem for busy people.
