You can download the file again but don’t open it again (if it’s happened then it happened first time) and upload it to virustotal.com for an virus scan.
After that delete the file and remove from trash
If there are virus reports then you have clean up your system
If you opened it and there is a Virus in it, then deleting it has no effect.
