anyone else regularly receive these SMS? The numbers are just random mobile numbers that aren’t even in my call history.

2. I also called the numbers back on occasion (before realising they were not actually in my call history and googling them yielded no results) and they were just random people who were just as confused as me.

3. I think they try to find out which mobile numbers are assigned to real people.

   Call center pay money for this kind of information.

5. On regular providers network you get such SMS when your phone is not in the network and someone tried to call you. Obviously in such cases there will be no call log in your history.
