That’s exactly 1 per 100k citizens.
The German equivalent would be 830 tanks.
The US equivalent would be 3,320 tanks.
The Chinese/Indian equivalent would be 14,000 tanks.
And that’s it for K2 flooding european markets, that what you get when you actually test the mbt you want to buy, and compare with alternatives.
Not like here where most likely corrupted and ideologicly driven MOD picks absolute shitbox k2 just to show middle finger to Germany,we get the mbt that doesn’t meet army requirements and army doesn’t really want, and we pay for it premium cuz war duh.

Nordic-German economic cooperation seems to increase recently which is a really good thing!
Norway significantly increases its firepower with a fleet of F-35 fighters and 54 (!) Leopard 2 A7s. I find it reassuring that we are investing in technology cooperation with our NATO allies Germany and the USA. The alternative to the Leopard was the Korean K2 Black Panther. Also extremely good defense technology, but now it is necessary to strengthen Nordic defense cooperation within NATO. It is therefore important that we have the same type of tanks in Norway, Sweden and Finland. I think most Norwegians are very comfortable with this purchase. And yes! I take it for granted that both Finland and Sweden will be NATO members by the end of the summer. I’m not going to say what I think about Turkey right now… But in Norway we have no patience with Erdogan’s childish antics.

So does that mean they will Leo2 A7 instead of the Korean K2 Black Panther?

Thats a significant order.
Norway has also ordered 52 F-35 fighters.
37 of them have been delivered.
And 4 new submarines from ThyssenKrupp.
