Lismore residents fancy themselves as a bit posh. They’re not having any of this lower class malarkey going on.
If only they put as much effort into finding jobs
I live near lismore and it’s absolutely devastating for the town. People have been hoping the hotel would open for the past 10 years and that it would pull tourists into an area that has enormous potential and be an huge boost to the town which has no jobs.
Now people are learning thats not going to happen and they have no clue who’s going to be put in there.
There’s been no correspondence with locals from anyone despite people reaching out.
What’s worse is that this isn’t an isolated incident. This kinda thing has happened in other areas and it’s a disaster. Tourism is the economic backbone of so many towns around the country, if we don’t have it then that’s going to have a very negative impact on the economy and jobs when the summer comes.
The government needs to start handling all this better or else there going to start making enemies for themselves left right and centre.
The largest refugee group of people (the Irish) protesting against refugees. We are fucking hypocrite scumbags.

It’s been driven by this kind of shit. This place is being used as a warehouse for diamond furniture. Yet this pricks are saying no it’s for refugees. Edit to add: yes it’s unfair that hotels can make money on tourism and I get where locals are coming from. The government will be shouting about lack of money coming into the country. Yet they won’t sort out the housing situation
This is what happens if you limit discourse about immigration to “You agree with me, or you’re racist” for 40 years.
I’d say the likes of the National Party can’t believe their luck.
The comments in this thread should be a real eye opener to people who think this will blow over. There is literally no negative consequence that can happen from immigration policy that will be accepted by a small, yet vocal, number of people on the left. They will do anything to dispute it including the old favourite of smearing you for raising concerns.
You could literally be beheaded in broad daylight by an extremist religious fanatic that came here under false pretences and wasn’t deported & you will have some of these people straight on blaming toxic masculinity instead and shouting “racist” from the high heavens.
