And with this I won a £20 bet with my dad that they would raise interest rates within the next two weeks!
This surprised me but its a very welcome surprise. I really thought they’d hold off a few more months because of the uncertainty around the omicron variant. Interest rates have been at zero bound for too long, and with current inflation its the perfect time to raise them.
