We found this table in Copenhagen, and we really struggled to think about what could it be placed in the grill. Having seen the bin with a slot for pant, we are really curious about it. Thank you!

  1. It’s for a single use/disposable grill. You place it on the metal so you don’t ruin the wooden table.

  2. People don’t care about the tables, so they have started to put metal for disposable grills for people to use.

In Denmark people will bury single use grills in the sand at the beach for bare fooded kids to find.

  3. People have been accidentally burning these bench-tables using single-time use grills for so long, that the municipality had to step in with a solution.

  4. Funny : ) The word “grill” is the danish word for a barbecue grill.

But in english it also means what danes would call a “rist” (noun), and “rist” (verb) is also wat one does to food placed on a “grill”

  5. Is that the one in øster anlæg? With a flower garden behind it. Seen that thing my whole life.

  6. This is a family table. You place your kids under the table. The grown ups can have a nice time while keeping an eye on the kids.

  7. It can be used to put a disposable bbq on it, but it’s actually a drainage letting any water on the table to evacuate to not cause any damage on the wood
