Gare district: What is the police doing about people blocking entrances of buildings?

  1. Gare is a mess… Not sure how to solve it either but no one feels safe going there at night.
I wonder if there were any strategies other places have followed to solve the issue.

  2. Hello everyone, I am moving to Luxembourg at rue des legionnaires Bonnevoie, do you know if the zone is safe? I heard there was a crack center at Route Thionville — but i don’t know if it’s still there or not. (I didn’t know gare was unsafe until reading this post — hope you don’t mind me asking)

  3. Btw I don’t understand why RTL does not add any French or German subtitles in their news programs. I understand English would be too much to ask, but it really blocks any kind of access for non-luxembourgish speakers to the news about the country. The articles in English are usually just a high level briefing and I would love to be able to watch the video that comes with the article, unfortunately it is in Luxembourgish and I really don’t get much out of it.

  4. It’s ridiculous I live on the high street of Gare and people are constantly crowding around the entrance of my flat. Sometimes they even have tables and chairs out in front of the entrance which doesn’t make sense! Doesn’t help that there are many cafes around my flat which attracts even more people. I normally have to be a bit aggressive walking to the entrance which seems to work, but shouldn’t be necessary, this needs to be stopped 😡

  5. Did I interpret the message from police correctly as “we quit, other organizations should make sure that such people don’t exist, and when that’s done police would not be blamed for not taking actions”? That’s what was meant?
