  1. REM man in the moon, I’m 23 at Slane with good friends on a beautiful sunny day, its still my favourite REM song.

    Bittersweet, Romeo and Juliet, I’m 19 and in love for the first time, he sang it to me when we were in bed together, then he broke my heart (Kilkenny bastard).

    Blister in the sun, I’m in a jacuzzi on the roof of a hotel in Dublin, with great friends after seeing the femmes.

    Dancing at the crossroads, my dad was a great hurler, he saw Wexford win an all Ireland, a month before he was killed.

    I’m sure there’s others.

  2. The most iconic music moment in my life was seeing blur in the Olympia. Damon performed the universal and being honest I was absolutely blown away (not a huge blur fan)

  5. The La La’s – There She Goes.

    Happened in a shop right around the time I was developing a crush on a college mate.

    We had just finished up the last exam for summer of 1st year and it was a scorching hot day hanging out in the park with 6-7 colleagues recalling the year gone by and sharing stories and laugh’s like a scene straight out of an American Pie film.

    This song always reminds me of sunny days with your friends, being high on life young and free and having a blast.

  6. Of Monsters and Men Little Talks.

    On the first morning after I moved to Germany when I was 20 I put in my headphones to go explore the area. It was the first song that came on.

    It makes me think of sunny days and the excitement of adventure.

    Never fails so make me smile.

  7. Driving to Galway with my new girlfriend (now my wife of many years.)

    She had been in Zimbabwe doing volunteer work and put on the Bhundu Boys playing Kupedza Muto
